I cannot train someone I am going to evaluate.

Under the Federal Police's impartiality requirements, candidates already scheduled for a technical-proficiency evaluation with me may not take preparatory training under my instruction. Likewise, students who train with me for the test may not be evaluated by me — they must take the official test with another credentialed IAT, who can be referred by the Harpia 33 team. The test must be reported to the Federal Police 3 business days (72h) in advance

The credentialed Firearms and Marksmanship Instructor (IAT) must report the test to the local Federal Police unit at least 3 (three) business days — or 72 hours — in advance. That is why the date must be at least 3 days from today.

Check every purpose that applies. One test covers several purposes, for the same price.

Type two digits for the hour and two for the minutes, no colon needed (e.g. 0930 becomes 09:30).

Frequently asked questions

  • Do I need to bring my own firearm for the proficiency test or a course?

    The firearms used in the test must belong to the evaluating instructor. Exceptionally, upon prior notice to the Federal Police, the candidate may use their own firearm, provided it is transported in accordance with current legislation and the ammunition is carried with a valid transport permit ("guia de tráfego") for the test location.

  • How does the Sunday program work?

    On Sundays we hold theory classes, process mentoring, and MantisX fundamentals training (dry-fire, no live rounds). Live-fire sessions take place Monday through Saturday at partner ranges.

  • What documents are required to book the Federal Police test (IN 111/PF)?

    Booking requires a valid Psychological Report issued by a psychologist credentialed by the Federal Police, an official photo ID (RG or driver's license), and a recent proof of address, with a minimum notice of 3 business days.

  • How long does it take to receive the Technical Proficiency Report?

    The official report with your test result is issued by the IAT right after you pass the theory and practical range test.
